Industrial Heritage Network
The main objective of this thematic network is to get the students acquainted with the industrial development of the region, its origins, the social changes that it caused, its effects on the environment, the innovations and changes imposed on the architecture and technology of the region. Participation in the network gives students the opportunity to compare the past and present development of the area and attempt an interpretation of similarities and differences.
The network encourages collaboration with industries still operating, municipalities, museums, citizens who are involved in the preservation of cultural tradition. Students may interview older people who used to work in factories or search for photographic material or any other relevant documents, such as contracts of co-operation, purchase, lease, etc.

- The industrial mill of Longos (for example) from its foundation until today
- Trade unions from the 19th century until today
