Rural Practices and the Environment – Towards a sustainable land management
The main objective of this thematic network is to define the consequences of rural practices on the environment, through well-organised school programmes of environmental education, in collaboration with local communities, municipalities, prefectures, agricultural co-operatives, local entrepreneurs, processing industries, scientific consultants, farmers, etc. On the other hand, the network also aims at examining all possibilities of rural development and the extent to which each practice is sustainable, or even whether each practice takes into account the well-being of consumers and producers alike.

All activities of the E.E.C. take into account the long-term objective of pollution decrease, protection of the environment and sustainable management of natural resources.
